Family Field Trip To Tanjung Sepat

On 23 June 2012, Chrisdale Taman Megah, Kepong took one busload of Chrisdale Kids and their parents on its second family field trip to Tanjung Sepat. The first place we visited was the Sea Cucumber Processing Factory where we were shown how sea cucumbers were processed and packed for refrigeration before being transported to market for sale. We were also offered sea cucumbers for sale at factory price.

We next visited the Dragon Fruit and Longan Farms, Tapioca Processing, Fishball Making and Mushroom factories in quick succession with a short break for lunch at one of the seafood restaurants that Tanjung Sepat is well-known for. After that we dropped in at Tanjung Sepat’s famous Pau and Coffee Making factories and were treated to some of the best-tasting pau and coffee most of us have ever had the opportunity to try.

We spent a large part of the afternoon and early evening at Malaysia’s own Gold Coast at Sepang playing and flying kites on the beach and enjoying the lovely sunset. We then had a rather unadventurous steamboat dinner at the seaside resort there. We left for home at about 7.30pm and arrived home at around 10.00pm.
